Bio for Bob Gardner

Bob Gardner is currently owner of Gardner Franchise Inc. and Chairman of the Board of The Texas Association of Professionals Credit Union (TAPFCU).
Bob has been in the Mortgage Banking industry for over 40 years serving as the President of The Mortgage Bankers Association in 2003-2004 and in 2006 received the Distinguish Service Award from the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association.
In 1990, Bob started Partners Mortgage Services LTD in San Antonio, Texas. Eventually the company had offices in San Antonio, Houston, and Austin. In 1998, the company was sold to SouthTrust Corporation of Birmingham, Alabama. SouthTrust was a publicly-traded bank holding company, and this was their first purchase in the State of Texas. Eventually SouthTrust expanded their banking and mortgage banking operations into the Ft. Worth, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston area. Bob managed the Texas Mortgage Banking operations for SouthTrust.
In 2005, SouthTrust sold to Wachovia Bank, and Bob left to start Gardner Financial Services, LTD, dba Legacy Mutual Mortgage, in San Antonio, Texas. In 2012, the company was sold to Crockett National Bank.
Today, Bob continues his involvement in banking by serving as Chairman of TAP Federal Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas.
